Firesticks

Euphorbia tirucalli, colloquially known as the pencil cactus or firesticks, is a small succulent native to Africa.

Its slender stems change colour with the seasons – in full sun and warm temperatures, the normally green plant is suffused with a palette of vibrant reds and yellows. 

Like most succulents, the firesticks prefers warm, dry conditions and free-draining soil.

It can also grow quite large, so be prepared to trim or transplant it as needed.

WARNING: The milky sap of the firesticks is toxic. Avoid contact with bare skin and eyes, and keep away from children and pets.
