Heartleaf Ice Plant
Heartleaf Ice Plant
Add groundcover to your garden with the heartleaf ice plant, a South African succulent that's also known as the baby sun rose.
Its soft, heart-shaped leaves and delicate pink flowers make it the perfect complement to rockery staples like aloe vera and echeveria chroma. Alternatively, add it to your collection of houseplants and watch a cascade of colour roll over the edges of the pot.
Despite its name, the ice plant does prefer full sunlight and well-drained soil – keep in mind that it can burn, so avoid placing it in all-day sun spots. It's a creeping succulent, so it's relatively fast-growing and easy to propagate.
